ART, GALLERY & CREATIVE WORKS
Art, material and space
Artistic Works & Spatial Art explores the connection between contemporary art, material, and space.
Based in The Hague, The Netherlands, and Cangas de Onís, Asturias, Spain, where our atelier also functions as a contemporary art gallery, we work internationally across a range of artistic, curatorial, and spatial design projects.
Alongside our work in garden design, landscape design, wall design, and surface design, we create artworks that respond to atmosphere, texture, light, and sensory experience.
These works exist as independent artworks, commissioned pieces, or site-specific artistic interventions developed in dialogue with architecture, landscape, gardens, and interiors.
Whether through art creation, art curation, exhibitions, or creative collaborations, our aim remains the same: to enhance the character of a place through material presence, atmosphere, and visual storytelling.
- Vincent van Gogh
Art within spatial environments
Art can transform how a space is perceived. Instead of serving only as decoration, it introduces rhythm, contrast, and depth.
Our work grows from a strong sensitivity to space, and each piece becomes part of a larger spatial experience.
Therefore, artworks can be seamlessly integrated into:
private homes and interior spaces
gardens and outdoor living areas
terraces and courtyards
Hospitality and boutique environments
Architectural and spatial design projects
CURATED ART FOR INTERIORS & OUTDOOR SPACES
Choosing the right artwork can transform a space.
Through our art gallery in Cangas de Onís and our network of local, national, and international artists, we help clients source, select, and curate artworks for private residences, boutique hotels, restaurants, wellness retreats, offices, gardens, and outdoor spaces.
Whether you are looking for a statement painting, a sculpture, a site-specific artwork, or a carefully selected collection of pieces, we help identify artworks that complement the character, atmosphere, and vision of a project.
Art can be commissioned, selected from existing collections, or sourced through our network of emerging and established artists.
This allows us to offer both bespoke artistic solutions and carefully selected artworks that respond to the character, atmosphere, and vision of a space.
Material-based artworks & TEXTURED SURFACES
Our artistic practice focuses on material-based art, textured wall art, decorative surfaces, and sculptural artworks.
We work with mineral-based materials, including Novacolor, combining contemporary craftsmanship with traditional techniques.
As a result, we create textured wall art, sculptural surfaces, relief artworks, and layered compositions with depth, nuance, and a subtle interaction with light.
In the studio, we use a range of media:
• OIL PAINTING
• ACRYLIC PAINTING
• WATERCOLOUR
• INKS
• CHARCOAL
• PENCIL AND DRAWING MEDIA
This variety allows each artwork to develop its own language, sometimes expressive and painterly, sometimes quiet and atmospheric. We create:
• TEXTURED WALL PANELS
• MIXED-MEDIA ARTWORKS
• PAINTINGS AND WORKS ON PAPER
• SURFACE STUDIES ON BOARD OR CANVAS
• SCULPTURAL RELIEF SURFACES
Material remains central, connecting each artwork to its environment.
Commissioned artworks
We offer commissioned artwork for both interior and outdoor spaces.
Each project begins with a conversation about the atmosphere, function, and identity of a place. This process ensures that every artwork is unique and deeply connected to its surroundings.
Commissions may include:
art for private interiors
garden and outdoor artworks
architectural art panels
site-specific artistic interventions
Between art and surface design
Our work moves between art and architectural surface design.
Often, material explorations developed for walls evolve into independent artworks. At the same time, artistic experiments inspire new spatial applications.
This creates a fluid dialogue between function and expression, where materials are explored beyond their conventional use.
Drawing & artistic practice
Drawing remains a foundation of our creative practice. It supports both observation and artistic exploration.
In addition, we offer art workshops and drawing sessions focused on perception, material sensitivity, and slow creative processes.
