I am the founder of Garden Design Atelier and work across garden design, landscape design, wall design, and art.
My work explores the relationship between nature, architecture, materials, and atmosphere. Through gardens, artistic surfaces, and artworks, I create spaces that feel balanced, natural, and connected to their surroundings.
Alongside my own artistic practice, I curate exhibitions and manage Galería de Arte Asturias, my permanent gallery, atelier, and creative workspace in Asturias. Through Vida Costa Verde, I present exhibitions, workshops, photography, artwork, and cultural experiences inspired by Northern Spain, while my garden design, landscape design, decorative wall finishes, artistic feature walls, and surface design services are offered through Garden Design Atelier.
BASED IN SPAIN – WORKING IN THE NETHERLANDS & INTERNATIONALLY
Based in Asturias, Northern Spain, I work with clients throughout Spain, the Netherlands, and internationally.
Having lived and worked extensively in both Spain and the Netherlands, my designs are influenced by different landscapes, climates, and ways of living, creating projects that respond naturally to their location and users.
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
I hold a Distinction Diploma in Residential Landscape Design from the Oxford College of Garden Design (UK).
Combined with international experience, this foundation supports my work across garden design, landscape design, artistic wall design, and architectural surface design.
FROM NATURE TO MATERIAL EXPRESSION
Growing up in the Czech countryside sparked a lifelong connection with nature, landscapes, and seasonal change.
While garden and landscape design remain at the heart of my practice, my work has gradually expanded into artistic wall design, architectural surfaces, and art. This multidisciplinary approach allows me to create cohesive environments where gardens, interiors, materials, and artworks speak the same visual language.
ART, PAINTING & DESIGN
Painting remains an important part of my creative practice. It allows me to explore colour, texture, atmosphere, and materiality in a more intuitive way.
These same principles influence every garden, wall, and spatial design project I create.
MY DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
I believe good design should feel natural, timeless, and deeply connected to its surroundings.
Rather than only following trends, I focus on creating spaces where planting, materials, light, and atmosphere work together to enrich everyday life.
